Bruce Baron received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an MBA in operations research from the City College of New York. After working for several years as a civil engineer and computer programmer, he joined the New York City accounting firm, David C. Wiener & Company. Discovering a passion for business consulting, Bruce went on to earn a second MBA in accounting from New York University. He passed the CPA exam and became a partner of the firm.
In 1997 David C. Wiener & Company merged into J.H. Cohn LLP, the largest independent public accounting firm in New Jersey. Bruce stayed on as a partner, working for six years in mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, litigation support, and succession planning for closely-held companies.
Even as he was gaining valuable experience in high-level financial planning and analysis, Bruce longed to return to what he does best – helping business owners grow their companies. And that is what he has been doing since he left J.H. Cohn in 2003, always committed to delivering the personal counsel that can help every client evolve and grow.
Bruce has lectured on real estate tax issues, employee retention, and the prevention of employee embezzlement in the workplace.
